These reactions turn pollutants into water and dangerous gases.

The catalyst is composed of mixed precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium. From a scientific point of view, the following reactions occur: Hydrocarbons react with oxygen to form carbon dioxide. Nitric oxide reacts with carbon monoxide to form carbon dioxide and nitrogen. It reacts with hydrogen to form water vapor and nitrogen. Based on studies on the effectiveness of catalytic converters, it has been proven that these devices can effectively reduce the emissions of harmful gases that pollute the air. As automotive technology continues to advance, these devices are being improved to do more to reduce harmful emissions.
