"That Place"
There is a place in each of our lives we were all made to ascribe to, made to achieve, made to arrive. There is a destination, a soul prospering place God prepared in advance of our lives; our good works are to get us there. As God’s workmanship, we were crafted in Christ Jesus, created to arrive at our good works destination. While at times it seems unapproachable and out of our reach, it is nonetheless a place prepared for us alone; it is our own personal land flowing with milk and honey. This place, this sweet spot is a place of purpose, a place of inner peace and outer prosperity. If we are to see the goodness of God in the land of the living — before heaven, we’ve only to lay aside every weight and sin that comforts us and run with endurance the race marked out for us before we were yet in our mother’s womb. What is your promised land?

"A Peace and a Guard"
Beloved, God's blessings and good morning!!! Just beyond the walkway, there is peace. And there is a guard.
Not only will God keep us in perfect PEACE, but Philippians 4:7 says, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding WILL guard your heart and mind. In Christ we get a peace and a guard. A guard seems to insinuate we need protection from something.
There are mornings when I find that while my lips are thanking God, my mind wanders into the enemy's camp of worry. This is where verse 6 applies. Do not worry about ANYTHING, but in prayer and petition with THANKSGIVING, present your requests to God. Petition stems from the Latin roots 'thrust' and 'attack.' Prayers and attack prayers. Dr. Dharius Daniels says, "sniper like prayers, smart bomb prayers." These are prayers offered unto God that attack a specific area of worry or of frustration. We ought not just recite scriptures, but we must pray, mind and spirit, specific scriptures that apply to areas of weakness within us. In our petitions we are to be as swordsmen who carefully choose the perfect size, blade, and handle for the task at hand. Paul does not promise the Philippians that God will do every single request. He does promise the surpassing peace of God as a guard.
Beloved what things this morning require specific prayer, petition, and presentation?
This is PERFECT PEACE & there is a GUARD!

"Christ or Chaos?"
Fish or Piranha!? While I simply could not make a distinctive difference Beloved, the vibrance, creativity, color, and movement of the photo intrigued me.
The Greek word for fish is "ichthys." Early Christians created an acrostic using the word: "Iesous Christos Theou Yios Soter" which means Jesus Christ the son of God, Savior. Thus the symbol has become synonymous with Christ.
Piranhas, also known as the "tooth fish" have razor-sharp tricuspid teeth that bite with a force 3 times their body weight. This fish is synonymous with chaos.
Paul, in Ephesians 4 explains that the unity of the body rests in Christ. Thus the depth of the believer's heart and theory must be rooted in Him unto application. "Speak the truth in love," "be angry and sin not," "Let all bitterness, anger, and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you."
Our human and natural beliefs, our actions, our words, and our thoughts rooted deep in Christ promote unity in every area of our lives. However, our natural human proclivities rooted in thinking too much, anger, knowledge, comfort, wounds, unforgiveness, past hurts or any of the likes are as piranha teeth -- rooted in chaos. They cut, destroy, maim, cripple, and create chaos for those attracted to the vibrancy, creativity, color, and movement of theory not deeply rooted.
PRAYER: Spirit of the living God, move beyond the conscious mind of the eyes reading this devotion to the subconscious mind, to the deeper depths of who you know us to be. Reveal any and all "teeth" of destruction. Root canal any and all remaining fragments that may inflict pain within the believer herself, the body of Christ, and those who don't yet know they are. Move beyond the width of explanations to the depth of revelation. Help us "be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another just as God also forgave us in Christ, " Amen!

"Paradise"
God placed Adam and Eve in paradise, a lot like this with one command: "you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die." He gave them everything, yet He wanted from them ONE thing: trust, loyalty, devotion. "Did God say, 'You can't eat from any tree in the garden'" the serpent, the most cunning and crafty of all other animals, asked. Appealing to the mind of the mother of all creation, he deceived her; perhaps it is better said that she deceived herself.
Like Adam & Eve, God has given us all things: life, health, wealth, children, family, second chances, sanity, and sanctity in Him. Yet He only asks us for one thing -- TRUST. HB Charles said, "Our commitment to God should guide everything in our lives." Keeping our mind stayed on Him, keeps us in perfect peace. In short, we need Him in order to trust Him.
What thing or things is God asking you personally to give up in this moment in order to prove your trust in Him? Failing to yield them gives Satan an opportunity to use these very same things in order to wreak havoc in your mind.
Try Jesus! And trust today, family; TRUST like you've never trusted before.
