Catalina Martínez

I am a researcher in science and innovation policy and economics at the Institute of Public Goods and Policies of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC-IPP) in Madrid.

My research interests lie primarily in the analysis of science and technology policies, strategies and actors, with a focus on technology markets, internationalization of patent protection, academic inventors, research careers and science-industry links. 

Before joining CSIC, I worked for several years on innovation policy and economics at the OECD Directorate of Science, Technology and Industry in Paris and before that on competition economics in the private sector in London and Brussels.
