Internet connection
An internet connection is only required for running the SIS web. If you are running SIS DVD or SIS network, it is not required.
Downloaded files
To successfully run a Service Information System, files downloaded from the SIS web download section are required. It is important to have these files if you want to run any of the three versions of SIS.
SIS Data DVD subscription
A subscription to SIS data DVD’s is necessary for users who want to run the SIS DVD and SIS network versions.
Licensed copy of SIS
You need a licensed copy of SIS loaded into your computer to run SIS DVD and SIS network. However, it is not required for the SIS web version.
A server configuration

To be able to use the SIS DVD version, it must first be installed. There are four steps that are required in the installation process.
Install SIS software
The first of these steps is the installation of the SIS software on your PC
Install SIS Data Setup CDs
The second step of this process involves installing the SIS DATA setup. There are two of these setup CDs available.
License SIS software
After installing data setup of the CDs, it is important to ensure that a licensed copy of the SIS is purchased.
