Research
I am in the third year of my PhD at QMUL under the supervision of Dr Navid Nabijou. I am currently working on studying the topology of the moduli spaces of stable maps. Specifically, I am working with the moduli space of logarithmic stable maps from genus 0 curves to toric surfaces which satisfy some pre-prescribed tangency conditions α to its toric boundary. Using a combinatorial stratification of this moduli space, I have found chambers in the tangency space such that as α varies, the class of the moduli space in the Grothendieck ring is constant. I also work with spaces of expanded stable maps and have a similar result for the Euler Characteristic when the target is replaced by the logarithmic torus.
I am in the process of writing these results up into a paper, but my second year report gives a good idea of what I've been working on.
I am part of the Combinatorial Algebraic Geometry research group at QMUL and I am one of the organisers, along with Linxuan Li, of our weekly seminar series. Get in touch if you'd like to join our mailing list! Within the group, I have two academic siblings, Dan Simms and Andy Yang. The picture at the head of this page is from our recent trip to Trento!

Toric Geometry Notes
I have typed up Navid's lecture notes for the Toric Geometry course he gave at the University of Cambridge. Here they are!
Organisation
I am one of the co-leads for The Piscopia Initiative. We are a network of women and underrepresented genders at undergraduate/MSc level, PhD students, and researchers in mathematics and related disciplines. We organise both UK-wide and university-specific events at universities through our local committees, with the aim of encouraging women and underrepresented genders to pursue a PhD in Mathematics. We also want to support and celebrate current postgraduate students and researchers at all career stages. I am one of the organisers of the monthly PiWORKS seminar.
I was part of the organising team for PiFORUM25, our annual student-lead conference. This year, it was held at QMUL on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th of September!
At QMUL, I help to organise the QMUL Undergraduate Research Seminar which runs weekly on Wednesday afternoons.
I am also on the organising team for GaEL XXXiii. More details to follow!
