DarkOS is the future of having fun
DarkOS is the future of having fun
Ever thought that Darkest Dungeon was a bit too hardcore for you?
Maybe you're fed up with the same old meta?
Over-the-top yet unimaginative mods got you down?
If you're seeking unique skills, all new, (almost certainly) never-before-seen synergies and mechanics, then you're in the right place.
DarkOS boasts some of the most creative ideas in Darkest Dungeon modding, because creativity is the only thing here, and we've got it in spades.
Don't go thinking this is some dumb, broken, overpowered mod, though. It's more than that. It generates mods at the clack of a few measly keys.
If something's too easy, or maybe too hard to use, just regenerate it. There's no limit, no paywall, and no one to tell you what's the wrong way to play.
If it doesn't work then uhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno, try running it on Windows 10 or something.
Yeah, randomizer, cool, but what can it randomize?

It can all be randomized one-by-one, but if you just wanna jump right in, there are presets to choose from in the app
Image on the right shows the 5 presets, and the things that are randomized within each.
After generating a preset, you can add any extra randomizers individually afterwards.
Generating colours sometimes crashes the app, but I don't think I've ever seen it crash ingame, so just try to generate it again if it dies on you. :)
This thing doesn't mess with DLC, it'll probably stay that way for a long time.
Feel free to use DLC and et cetera with it if you feel like it, I'm not your mother.
If you're not using this hot-to-trot mod generator, you're not living, son.
Just boot it up, generate the parts you want, generate a workshop item, and drag the project file to the workshop uploader.
From there, just subscribe to it.

If you find a naughty word in there somewhere, literally just change it, all the words used for localisation are in the .darktionary files, which are just renamed .txt files to be cute.
Don't touch the .cfgs unless you want to. Definitely mess with the temperature setting if you want to, that does something. 0 - 4 is the range you want to change it around.
Spartan made a video on how to use it if you're confused
