Life is a Circus

Life is a Circus, released on November 21, 2025, is the first movie released by Casual Studios.

John, a want to be clown attends clown college, while still having to pay taxes. His brother, Demetri, an IRS worker introduces him to the art of being a hitman to pay the bills. After one night, he is kicked out of his only love... Cown school. He goes on a killing spree. When gambling, he loses all of his money, making him unable to pay taxes. His brother kidnaps him, beating him until he can finally pay the debt. John beats his brother and his bully goons. Instead of erasing his debt, he gives himself a few more months to pay the debt.

This one stuck out to him. He wrote a brief script and gave it to me. I brainstormed. I wanted it to be a mix of comedic absurdity with drama. I spent the spring and summer of 2025 writing and finalizing the script. In February-May, me and Matthew shot another movie. That went nowhere. "The Fake Real" We did not finish that. After that, it was around Summer, which was very busy for me. I spent the summer casting, gathering props, making schedules and more.

We then started filming in September and wrapped in mid-November. Everyone was really busy. It took 4 total days of filming, around two hours each. We filmed the school scenes in a church and filmed the final scene in a diffrent church. The main character, played by Brock, didn't read the script and was very confused the whole time. Matthew, who played Demetri, served as co-director for most of the scenes (all of them where he wasn't acting in) and my real life sister is the girl who gets killed. The craziest scene to shoot of the whole movie was the Johnny Tweaker drug deal scene, Josh arriving to set at 8:30, we all promised our parents to pick us up at 9:00. It was a school night. We had to film all of the shots with Josh in it in less than 20 minutes, which meant one take for everything.
