C. Local Media Processing (No Cloud Storage)
- Casting Functionality: When you use the App to cast photos or videos to your TV, the App accesses these files directly from your device's internal storage. This processing is performed locally to stream the content to your TV via your local Wi-Fi network. We do not upload, store, or transmit your media files to our servers.
3. APP PERMISSIONS AND PURPOSE
To provide the core features of the App, we request specific permissions on your device. We are transparent about why these permissions are necessary:
1. android.permission.INTERNET: Required to access the internet to load advertisements, check for app updates, and facilitate communication between the app and casting devices.
2. android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check if your device is connected to a network (Wi-Fi or mobile data) before attempting to cast or load ads.
3. android.permission.CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE: Critical for Casting: This permission allows the App to enable Wi-Fi Multicast mode, which is essential for discovering and connecting to TVs and casting devices (e.g., Chromecast, DLNA) on your local network.
4. android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Grants access to your photo gallery so you can select and cast specific images to your TV. We only access files you choose to cast (Android ≥ 13).
5. android.permission.READ_MEDIA_VIDEO: Grants access to your video library so you can select and cast videos to your TV (Android ≥ 13).
6. android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required on older Android versions to access photos, videos, audios and documents on your device for the casting feature (Android 12 and below).
7. com.phonetotv.casttotv.screenmirroring.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION: An internal security permission to ensure secure communication between the App's components.
8. android.permission.WAKE_LOCK: Prevents your phone screen or CPU from sleeping while casting, ensuring uninterrupted playback on your TV.
9. com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Allows access to the Advertising ID for advertising and analytics purposes.
10. android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION: Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
11. android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID: Used to access the advertising-specific ID on your device for ad personalization.
12. android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Enables sending notifications to users.
13. android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Allows the casting service to run in the background so you can use other apps while content continues to play on your TV.

17. android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS: For Advertising, allows for interest-based advertising while preserving privacy.
18. com.android.vending.BILLING: Enables in-app billing for purchasing items within the app.
19. com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE: Verifies the legitimacy of the app installation from Google Play to protect against unauthorized use.
20. android.permission.CAMERA: This permission is used to scan the QR code to access the webcast browsing feature within the app.
21. android.permission.READ_MEDIA_AUDIO: Used to allow the app to access audio files on your device so you can select and cast audio files to your TV (Android ≥ 13)
22. android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: This permission is used to access files on external storage for the document casting feature.
23. android.permission.VIBRATE: This permission is used by the AppLovin SDK (Ads mediation) to provide vibration feedback when users interact with ad content.

We use third-party services for analytics and to serve advertisements to support the free version of our App. These partners may access data such as your Advertising ID, IP address, and device information.
