When we took over Castleton Fish & Chips, we knew we wanted to create more than just a takeaway. We wanted to create a place where people could enjoy quality food, friendly service and feel genuinely welcome.
Running a small business is hard work, but it's something we're passionate about. We are proud to be part of the Castleton community and enjoy meeting both local residents and the many visitors who come to discover this special corner of the Peak District.

Chips are hand-cut from Lincolnshire potatoes, our Cod & Haddock are sustainably sourced and everything is fried is 100% vegetable oil.Ā We are one of the few shops that hand make our fish cakes, often known as Yorkshire Fish Cakes.Ā

My friend and I found this gem yesterday! Tucked away from the main street, the cod and scampi we shared was cooked to order. Not too long a wait and served with the best chips .The seating area was spotless. Generous portions and the 3 male staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return! Thank you guys

"Very happy to find this little gem....very warm and friendly welcome. Very fresh, crispy batter on the large fish. The chips were cooked to perfection, and a huge portion. Curry sauce was llovely. The little addred extra of a bag of cold chopped up sausage for every dog that came to the door , was a kindness ive nwver experienved before! Totally blew me away that the owner has gone out of there way to cook, chop and bag up little treats for the doggies!! Will definatley visit this shop again"
