XEVA I

DAUGHTER.

I met Xeva seven years ago. She is a strange presence to become accustomed to. Sometimes she will "think" her way into my head - basically beaming her thoughts into my mind to communicate with me. I don't think this is something she does to the other members; it must be a result of my will bringing her to life.

As someone who usually holds all of the cards in my relationships, as the person who knows more than the other, Xeva is unsettling to be around. She, either subconsciously or consciously, knows something about me. I do not know her. But I feel an immense guilt forming in my nonexistent heart whenever she wields the rifle based on my own. There was a time when she could not wield her rifle, and I gave her my arrowguns to use. They fit naturally in her arms.

She feels "emotions" very deeply, more intense than a human feels them. There are days I wonder if she is even a Nobody at all. Her status as a sentient, lesser Nobody clearly takes a toll on her--it is very obvious she longs to be "like" the rest of the Organization. The ground shakes when she is upset, as if the atoms themselves were linked to her pain.

She looks like me. There are days when she puts her hair into a low ponytail and stalks over a balcony with her rifle, and she looks exactly like me. Xeva, by all accounts, looks like she should be my daughter. Who was she before, and why is she so connected to me? Did Braig know her before she had died? Was he her father? No, if she was connected to Braig, and not me, I would not shiver with unease when she looks deep into my conscience with those mismatched eyes.

9 YEARS BEFORE KINGDOM HEARTS 1

Organization XIII is formed. Xigbar takes control of the Sniper nobodies, including Xeva. She has no memories and no will of her own.

8 YEARS BEFORE KINGDOM HEARTS 1

Vexen hypothesizes that a Lesser Nobody can be transformed back into their humanoid form and tries for several months to prove this. After many rounds of failed experiments, he chooses a Sniper at random, and asks Xigbar for his cooperation. He infuses this Sniper with Xigbar's will, and for reasons he cannot figure out, the Sniper becomes a humanoid Nobody- Xeva.

1 YEAR BEFORE KINGDOM HEARTS 1

Xeva reacts explosively to a routine training exercise in the City that Never Was. Rooms in the Castle collapse in on themselves, injuring and nearly killing several members. Xeva was named the sole party responsible for the collapse. Little else is known about the incident, as Xeva is reported missing to Saix less than 24 hours later. There is no search party set up for her.

6 MONTHS AFTER THE CASTLE OBLIVION INCIDENT

The C.O. team, including Vexen, is eliminated. His research is archived, with some projects being completely trashed altogether. Xeva's file is wiped, and any mention of her is deleted from records. She is presumed dead.

3 WEEKS AFTER KINGDOM HEARTS 2

The exploded remains of the Castle are examined by the recompleted Braig. In the ruins of the power core, he discovers a broken glass tank, not dissimilar to the one Xion was kept in. H-Naught lies next to the tank, covered in dust.
