Park Background

Park History

Castle Rock Park is identified as a community park in the 2017 Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The Castle Rock Park property was donated to the Parks Department around 1970, and the park was partially developed in 1982 with room for expansion. The Celebrate Freedom fireworks display on the 4th of July is typically held in the park, which started in 2002. A wading pool at Castle Rock was replaced by the Splash pad around 2006.
