2025年、アイルランド音楽をこよなく愛するメンバーによって宮城を拠点に結成されたコンサーティーナ2台を中心とした編成のケーリーバンド 🏰🌲

Castle Grove Ceili Bandは、世界的にも珍しい多くのオリジナル楽曲をレパートリーに加えて演奏するケーリーバンドとして歩みを始めました。

作曲を手がけるのは、仙台在住のコンサーティーナ奏者・Ryo。

彼の音楽は、アイルランド伝統音楽の素朴で温かな響きをベースにしつつ、どこか幻想的な世界観が重なり合います。

その世界観は初めてアイルランド音楽に触れる人から伝統音楽を愛する人まで、幅広い層の心を掴んでいます。

そんなRyoによるオリジナル曲と伝統曲も織り交ぜながら、生演奏の迫力とグルーヴ、そして踊る楽しさをたっぷりお届けしていきます！

宮城、そして東北を拠点に、日本各地の仲間たちとも繋がって、音に乗って踊る楽しさを分かち合える場を少しずつ広げながら、東北でもダンスをもっと楽しめる場所が増えていくように活動を続けていきたいと考えています。

Formed in 2025 by a group of musicians deeply passionate about Irish music, Castle Grove Ceili Band is based in Miyagi, northern Japan.

With a distinctive lineup centered around two concertinas, the band blends traditional dance tunes with a rich selection of original compositions — a rarity not only in Japan but worldwide.

Many of these original tunes are written by Ryo, a concertina player and composer based in Sendai.

His compositions are rooted in the warm and rustic sounds of Irish traditional music, layered with a fantasical atmosphere.

This unique sound resonates with a wide range of listeners, from those experiencing Irish music for the first time to devoted fans of traditional music.

Through Ryo’s original tunes and beloved traditional repertoire, Castle Grove Ceili Band brings the driving energy of live music, the joy of rhythm, and the simple delight of dancing — all wrapped into one uplifting experience!

Rooted in northern Japan, the band aims to build connections across Japan and share the joy of dancing to live music with more people.

By creating more opportunities for set dancing in northern Japan, they hope to see this tradition take deeper root and flourish in new communities.
