Coach Anja Hassell is one of a kind. She is such a great role model and influence on all Casteel High School students and those she interacts with. The Badminton team is especially lucky to have her as their coach each year. She took over the badminton team 6 seasons ago and has grown the program to where it is today. She creates a positive and fun environment for all of the athletes.

Anja is extremely special to all that know her and she touches everyone’s life whether it’s on the ballfield, the court or at the crosswalk. It is very rare when you see Anja without a smile on her face. She has a way about her that uplifts those around her.

Coach Clark has spent the last 22 years coaching a variety of sports including football, basketball, wrestling, and track. After watching his daughter play badminton for three years he asked Coach Hassell if he could come out and help coach. He loves the culture and the way these girls work. He is excited to be able to be around and help the colts badminton team in any way that he can.
