What is Ignite?
Ignite is an interactive pedagogy-focused session that seeks to highlight best practices in classroom pronunciation instruction, and features brief micro-teaching lessons in a rotating “speed-dating” format. Theses lessons showcase specific pedagogical techniques or activities to teach a particular Spanish or Portuguese sound or process, or to help learners of these languages overcome a particular challenge related to phonology.
Ignite was established at the 2014 CASPSLaP conference and has been held at each conference ever since.
