Effective date: October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Casper (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Casper Auto Answer Chrome extension, its required Mac companion app, and related account, licensing, purchase, and support services.
Account and license information
When you register, activate a license, or sign in, Casper processes your email address, password, license information, and a randomly generated identifier associated with your Mac. These details allow us to authenticate your account, verify your subscription, and enforce device limits.
The licensing server stores salted password hashes. The Chrome extension does not save your password.
Google Forms content
When you request form assistance, the extension reads the selected Google Forms response page’s:
Visible questions, field types, and answer choices.
Page title and form URL, excluding URL query parameters and fragments.
Existing field values and selection states when determining whether to preserve or replace answers.
Existing answers are inspected locally for filling behavior and are not included in the question snapshot sent for answer generation. Questions themselves may contain personal or sensitive information, so review the form before requesting assistance.
Generated and edited answers
Casper processes generated answers and any edits you make so it can display drafts and fill supported form fields. The extension does not maintain a separate persistent answer-history database.
Purchase and support information
If you purchase a license, our licensing services may retain your activation email, selected plan, checkout, subscription and payment identifiers, payment dates, license status, and associated Discord user and server identifiers.
If you contact support, we receive the information and messages you choose to provide.
Technical information
Our hosting and service providers may process information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and error records when providing or securing the services. The licensing service also processes information needed to limit repeated authentication attempts.
We use information to:
Create and authenticate accounts.
Activate licenses and verify subscription and device eligibility.
Generate, display, and apply draft form answers.
Maintain the connection between the extension and Mac app.
Process purchase confirmations and deliver licenses.
Provide support, investigate problems, and protect against misuse.
Deliver software updates.
The extension does not include advertising trackers or general browsing-history monitoring.
The extension sends the selected form’s question snapshot to the Casper app through a local connection on your Mac.
For answer generation, the Mac app sends eligible question text, field types, answer choices, question identifiers, and a request identifier to ChatGPT through your signed-in ChatGPT session. Casper account credentials and the form’s URL and title are not included in that AI prompt.
ChatGPT processes this information under OpenAI’s applicable terms, privacy policy, and your account settings. Conversations may remain in your ChatGPT history. Clearing an unsent draft, closing Casper, or signing out of Casper does not delete conversations already stored by OpenAI.
Do not send information that you are not authorized to share with an AI service.
The Chrome extension stores your Casper account email, a scoped local connection token, and information about a pending extension update.
The Mac app stores session and connection credentials in files restricted to your local user account. It also remembers settings, account email, and the Mac identifier used for licensing. These credential files are not encrypted by Casper’s token-storage code.
ChatGPT website cookies and session data are stored in the app’s persistent website data store so your sign-in can survive app restarts.
Casper relies on third-party services for specific functions:
OpenAI/ChatGPT: Processes questions sent for AI answering.
PayPal: Handles checkout and subscription payments. Casper receives transaction and subscription information needed to manage licenses; its purchase database does not store full payment-card numbers.
Discord: Provides community access, purchase interactions, license delivery, and support.
Google and the Chrome Web Store: Provide Google Forms and extension distribution and updates.
Hosting providers: Operate infrastructure used to serve the website and licensing services.
These providers handle information according to their own policies. Information you submit directly to them is also governed by those policies.
Local account information remains until it is cleared through available sign-out controls or removed from your device.
Server-side account, license, activation, and purchase records are retained to operate licensing, maintain purchase records, provide support, and resolve disputes. These records are not automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension or Mac app. Contact us to request deletion.
Certain records may need to be retained for legal obligations, billing, security, or dispute resolution. Third-party providers control retention of information held in their own systems.
You can:
Choose whether to request AI generation.
Review and edit answers before applying them.
Choose whether existing form answers may be replaced.
Sign out of the extension to remove its saved Chrome account information.
Sign out of the Mac app to remove its saved license session and clear ChatGPT website data from Casper.
Manage ChatGPT conversations and privacy settings through ChatGPT.
Manage recurring payments through PayPal.
Contact Casper support to request access, correction, or deletion of account information.
Signing out does not delete every remembered preference, your server-side account, purchase records, or conversations held by OpenAI. Uninstalling Casper does not cancel a subscription.
Casper uses safeguards including authenticated local connections, restricted credential-file permissions, salted password hashes, and HTTPS connections to the licensing server.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device, account credentials, and license information protected. Never post passwords, product keys, payment details, or private checkout links in public support channels.
Information accessed through the extension is used to provide and support the features described in its store listing and interface. Casper’s use and transfer of that information will comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We may update this policy when Casper’s functionality or data practices change. Updates will be posted on the privacy-policy page with a revised effective date.
For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information, contact Casper staff through a support ticket in our Discord server:
Provide enough information to identify your account, but do not include your password. We may request verification of account ownership before acting on a request.
