About Cape Town

Cape Town's natural heritage is as diverse as its people.

The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest of the world's six floral kingdoms, but the richest in species.

Cape Town is located on the southernmost point in Africa, and surrounded by spectacular natural beauty from beaches to mountains. Visitors to Cape Town are often eager to take in the natural attractions, whether in the city or just outside. The official travel Guide is available here. If you are in the City consider taking the Free Cape Town Walking Tour: 11am, 2pm 4:20pm EVERY DAY from Motherland Coffee Company in Mandela Rhodes Place (St Georges Mall close to St Georges Cathedral).

March is the perfect time for touring. The peak of summer, December, January and February, has passed, but there are plenty of warm and sun-filled days to enjoy. For daily forecasts download a weather APP such as AccuWeather

There is no written history of Cape Town prior to 1488. Some of Cape Town's History can be read here.

If required, here's a link to some Taxi services or Uber (it will be cheaper).
