The Cash app allows you to send money directly to friends, family and vendors from your iPhone or Android phone.

Square-owned mobile payment platform launched a cash card in 2017. The card lets users spend their cash app at eligible retailers, and withdraw money from ATMs throughout the US.

Basically it works just like you would expect a debit card to work - purchases made using a cash card are removed from the balance of your Cash app and listed on the Cash app.

How to use a cash app card called Cash Card

If you have not already applied for a cash card, you can follow these steps to order your card in the Cash app.

Once your cash card arrives in the mail, activate it using the Cash app. You will be asked to allocate a PIN number to your cash card through the activation process, which you can change at any time.

After you activate your cash card, you will be able to use it at retailers in the US that accept Visa. If you used your cash card to purchase something and then ended up returning it, the refund may take up to 10 days to reflect your balance back.

In the Cash app, you can deactivate your Cash app card if you have temporarily placed it incorrectly. If suspicious charges appear on your list of transactions, you can dispute them through the Cash App support.

If you find yourself without your physical card, you can also connect your cash card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

If you use your cash card to withdraw money from an ATM with a fee, the Cash App will also reimburse the fee, but only if your cash card receives a direct deposit of $ 50 or more.
