With this character, I have paired historical European clothing with traditional Chinese accessories and an Alternative pant silhouette. Because I outfitted him in a shirt worn by ship laborers that allows for freedom of movement, I decided to arm him with a weapon that requires both strength and flexibility: the spear. When I bestowed the spear to this handsome young fellow, I felt that something was missing. The spear was too plain. It needed an accessory, and what better accessory than an elegant but simple jade pendant. I hear jade is not necessarily the best choice for this kind of adornment since its prone to breaking easily, but maybe this guy is so skilled that it does not matter what he decorates his spear with.

I wanted to challenge myself with full-body anatomy and the character's interaction with his ideal environment: the great outdoors.
I decided to use a reference picture because it is good practice, and also because I am not used to rendering men with noticeable muscles. I figured since this guy wields a spear (and because spears are heavy), he should have muscles to show for it.

I am a big fan of the TV Series he starred in called 'ThamePo: Heart that Skips a Beat' because it is a beautifully written story about a group of people overcoming hardship by banding together and utilizing eachother's strengths. Teamwork makes the dream work!

I started playing League of Legends because a friend was talking about it, and he was so enthusiastic about this game that I figured, "hey, maybe I should give LoL a go!" I played as Miss Fortune at the start because she looked cool, then Morgana because she looked cool, but then I came across Thresh. He isn't the prettiest champion out there, but his gameplay was so intriguing that I decided to work with him. I am currently on a losing streak, but with each Swiftplay match, I can feel myself improving. My hand-eye-coordination, my skill usage, it has seen a tremendous improvement since I first started playing with Thresh.
I decided to draw him because I wanted to challenge myself with drawing bones and also drawing someone more gnarly than I have drawn before. I also used this artwork as a chance to try out a new method of rendering.

This was the final project for a video production class I took at UC Merced. Daisy Ansen and I worked on the story, costume, videography, and color grading in order to tell a compelling story.
Our story revolves around a girl who is too afraid to exit her prison of safety and express herself. We wrote this story to inspire the viewers to go out and live without regrets.
Kairos Dance Group is an API dance group that does dance covers of songs from Asian pop groups. 'Deer Hunter' is a song by the group &TEAM and their concept is werewolves. Therefore, the photography, the editing, and the graphic design was done in a way that portrayed the Kairos Dance Group members as violent werewolves.

I designed and sewed the shirts that Casey, Daisy, and Selina are wearing in order to give a wild, feral look to the overall outfits. Other members are wearing strips of black fabric draped and tied stylishly to add cohesion to the entire group's outfits.
