I am an applied microeconomist working in environmental, energy, and public economics. My research uses causal inference and large administrative and environmental datasets to study how pollution controls affect air quality and mortality, how ownership changes affect the performance of wind and solar plants, and how financial-aid and admissions policies shape college enrollment. I also develop Bayesian methods for learning and decision-making under structural uncertainty.
My work appears in Methods in Ecology and Evolution, the Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. I received my PhD in Economics from North Carolina State University in 2022, and I also hold master’s degrees in financial mathematics and applied economics.
I teach econometrics, microeconomics, labor economics, and development economics, and I mentor undergraduate research teams.
