Here, as in the other Case Study Houses, Frank carefully selected and placed furnishings and decorative objects: a Bernard Rosenthal sculpture in the courtyard: a Van Keppel-Green sofa, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe lounge chairs, and a Hornung & Moller piano imported by Moreddi in the living area; a custom-designed dining table by Frank Bros. and dining chairs by Erik Anderson and Palle Pedersen; and crystal and glassware by Orrefors. Despite its infusion with the owner’s personal taste and the tight budget inherent in the construction process, the house still maintained the essence of flexibility commonly associated with postwar design. As a result, Case Study House #25 aptly served as the physical manifestation of the fusion of philosophy and practice.
