• I won the Hal Fulgham Contest hosted by the Association of Texas Photography Instructors or ATPI with a portrait portfolio constant of      8 black and white images

• I was competing against the entire state of Texas

James Alan Cox Foundation— Winner of the James Alan Cox Program for Future Photojournalists

• I was one of 5 nationwide who was selected as a winner for the photojournalism section of competition 

• It is a program dedicated to recognizing up-and-coming talented student photojournalists

Nevada Hill Visual Arts Scholarship — Winner of the Nevada Hill scholarship hosted by FWB Arts of Denton

• I was selected as the winner among hundreds of students who applied

• It is a program dedicated to recognizing up-and-coming talented visual artists in the Denton area

Thinline Film Festival— Finalist in the professional photography competition

• I was selected among hundreds of entries to be a finalist in the professional photography category 

Best of College and High School Photography Competition— I was selected as a finalist in the Best of High School Photography competition

Fine Arts Competition— Selected to continue to nationals in a nationwide fine arts church program

• I was selected to continue to nationals in the fine art competition. Unfortunately, I never got to see how far I would go after nationals because Covid shut nationals down

• Received an  honorable mention in the portrait category of the Independent Photographer, which is a national competition
