Other counties and municipalities have emergency communications organizations. These are outstanding opportunities to further your radio knowledge as well as providing a valuable service to your community.

We encourage all hams to join the American Radio Relay League or ARRL. The ARRL provides many services to hams including defending the radio frequencies allocated to amateurs.
The ARRL offers numerous books and resources for hams from beginner to experienced.
Many of these items are also available on Amazon.
If you are looking for repeaters in Washington or anywhere in the US, Repeater Book is an easy-to-use source.
The Western Washington Amateur Repeater Association (WWARA) offers very current repeater information for Western Washington. They are the agency reponsible for repeater coordination in Western Washington.
If you have an interest in emergency communications, you may be interested in the ACES course.
YouTube offers a tremendous number of videos that not only explain many aspects of ham radio but also have many videos that are dedicated to specific models of gear. These can be a valuable adjunct when one is struggling with a user's manual or guide. We have all been there!
