When you arrive in the neighbourhood, continue past these houses
Casa Ceiba is the house with a white wall (wooden fence) and a big water tower
Just steps from the house, you’ll find two local favorites:
Both are less than a 1-minute walk and perfect for a meal or a drink by the beach.
If you’re up for a short stroll, head 15 minutes south to the surf beach, where you’ll find other dining spots.
For a more elevated experience:
Machete – Great food + Friday pizza night & live music
Hush – Stylish setting, perfect for sunset drinks
Espejo – Stylish setting, perfect for sunset drinks
TreeCasa Resort – Restaurant + beautiful pool (day pass vibe)
If you prefer to cook at home, here’s where to shop:
Aloha Mini Market
AhorraMas / PALI – Supermarkets
Local Mercado (town market) – Fresh produce & local goods
Miscelanea Sanchez, Super Express, Ocean Market – Smaller convenience stores
🐟 Fresh fish available daily at the port (south end of town)
La Colonia / PALI
A fruit & vegetable truck passes through the neighborhood every 2 days.
You’ll hear it coming—someone announces fresh produce over a megaphone. It’s a fun (and very local) way to shop.
There’s a great variety of activities to do immediately in the area, in San Juan del Sur and further out.
If you want help setting anything up, just message me—I’m happy to help organize it.
Playa Majagual (beach to the north by El Ranchito restaurant)
Calm, swimmable, and usually quiet. Great for relaxing, sunset walks, and getting away from crowds.
Playa Maderas – Northern part (in front of the house)
Low-key and good for swimming when it’s calm.
⚠️ If the waves are big, don’t swim here.
Nearby: Juanita’s Kitchen
Playa Maderas – South End (10 min walk)
The main surf beach—more people, more action, and plenty of spots to eat and drink.
Best nearby surf: south end of Playa Maderas
Good beginner spots: Playa Madera & Playa Remanso
If you want lessons, boards, or a ride to different breaks, I can help set that up.
📲 Just message Daniel
