Carter Vision Care

Dr. David Carter was raised in Reedley, CA. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiological Optics in 1982 and his Doctor of Optometry Degree (O.D.) from University of California, Berkeley in 1984. 

Dr. Carter and his wife, Cindy, moved back to Reedley in 1985 and they opened Carter Vision Care at the F Street location in 1988. The business grew and in 1999, Carter Vision Care relocated to its current location at 1592 11th Street. 

Dr. Carter specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vision and medical conditions of the eyes. He works closely with many Primary Care Physicians in the Central Valley to treat and support patients with conditions including but not limited to diabetic eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, and macular degeneration. Dr. Carter also refers patients for specialty eye services when necessary. 

Dr. Carter is a lifetime member of American Optometric Association. He is also a member of the California Optometric Association and the Central California Optometric Society.

When he isn't at the office, Dr. Carter enjoys working in his garden, hiking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and spending time with his three children.
