Murder's in the Heir

By: Billy St. John

Licensed Through: Pioneer Drama Service

Summary

If you were to take the game Clue and turn it into a hilarious play, you would get Murder's in the Heir. It is a wonderfully written show where many of the characters have a motive, a weapon, and an opportunity to get to their victim. It is up to the audience to discover who the killer is by voting for the murderer at intermission, this will help us figure out whodunnit and the ending will change accordingly! The tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has called upon his family to have a reading of his will with all of his staff and living family present. They are told by his lawyer, Lois van Zandt, that they are all going to receive a small fortune when he passes. Or that they would, if it were not for the fact this will is going to be invalid by the end of the evening. The family and staff are incredibly upset by this, so it is unsurprising that many of them are seen later walking around the mansion with weapons such as an ax, a gun, a wrench, and others. Upon discovering Simon Starkweather's body, it is up to his grandson Simon Starkweather III and detective Mike Davis to find out who did it (with some help from the audience of course).

Summary

Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that’s the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy’s Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he’s angered a few of them. Zeus’s master lightning bolt has been stolen and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has ten days to find and return Zeus’s stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.
