Bloomfield Hills’ Carter Canfield: A Top 25 Player in Michigan for 2027
Bloomfield Hills, MI – Carter Canfield, a junior guard from Bloomfield Hills, has firmly established himself as one of the top players in the Class of 2027. He received his first college offer from the Indiana Tech Warriors last year as a sophomore and has recently added another from the Alma Scots. Multiple college coaches have also been in contact, highlighting the strong interest in his continued development.
Canfield’s progress has been impressive, particularly following a broken wrist and other injuries. Despite these setbacks, he has consistently improved his game and maintained a high level of performance. In today’s recruiting landscape, where offers are harder than ever to earn, the fact that Canfield has already secured multiple opportunities demonstrates his status as a top-tier player.
After being out for nearly six weeks, Canfield returned about halfway through the season. In his first game back, and his very first shot after not having the reps for that six week period, he sank a deep three-pointer against Pontiac from college-level range, which is where he normally shoots from. The shot demonstrated not only his skill but also that he is ready to perform at the college level, showing confidence and precision despite the extended time away from game action.
Through his work ethic and continued growth on the court, Carter is recognized as a top 25 player in Michigan for the Class of 2027. Next season people will really see how much of an impact he can make on the basketball court.
