SafeCycle – Privacy Policy

SafeCycle ("the App") is a menstrual cycle tracking and educational application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use SafeCycle.
Important: SafeCycle is intended for tracking and educational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice and is not a contraceptive. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
1. Information You Enter
SafeCycle allows you to enter information related to your menstrual cycle and personal tracking, including:
Period dates and cycle history
Symptoms
Flow information
Pain level
Mood information
Personal notes that you choose to enter
Cycle and reminder settings
2. How Your Tracking Data Is Stored
Based on the current SafeCycle application implementation, the information you enter is stored locally on your device using the browser/WebView localStorage mechanism. The application code does not contain a Firebase database, cloud database, or server API for uploading your cycle entries.
Local storage: Your cycle records, symptoms, notes, settings, and the app PIN are stored locally by the application. They are not automatically uploaded to a SafeCycle server.
If you uninstall the App, clear its application/site data, or otherwise remove its local storage, locally stored information may be lost.
3. Privacy PIN
SafeCycle provides a four-digit Privacy PIN to help prevent casual access to the information displayed inside the App. The PIN is stored locally with the App's local data. The PIN should not be considered encryption or a guarantee against access to the device by someone with sufficient technical access.
4. Data Export
SafeCycle provides an option to export your stored app data as a JSON file. The export is initiated by you. Once exported, the file is under your control and may be accessible to other applications or people who have access to the file or device.
5. Sharing
SafeCycle includes a sharing feature that lets you share a SafeCycle app download message. The current implementation shares a Google Play download link and does not automatically send your cycle history, symptoms, notes, or other tracking records through the sharing button.
If you choose to use WhatsApp or another sharing application, that service may process information according to its own privacy policy.
6. Notifications and Reminders
If you enable reminders, SafeCycle may request notification permission and use device notifications to remind you to log your cycle. Reminder settings are stored locally.
You can disable reminders through the App settings or through your device's notification settings.
7. Advertising and Third-Party Services
SafeCycle includes an AdMob integration for displaying advertisements. Advertising services provided by Google or other third parties may process certain information such as device identifiers, advertising-related information, diagnostics, or other information as permitted by their respective services and your device settings.
SafeCycle does not use its own server to store your menstrual cycle records. However, third-party advertising services operate independently and may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies.

8. Internet Connection
The current SafeCycle application checks whether an internet connection is available before allowing normal use of the application. Internet access may also be required for third-party services such as advertising and for opening external links.
9. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
The current SafeCycle application does not include functionality in its main application code for directly collecting or storing:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Your physical address
Your GPS/location information
Your contacts
Your camera or microphone recordings
The application code reviewed for this policy also does not contain a user-account or cloud-sync system for your cycle records.
10. Children's Privacy
SafeCycle is not designed or directed specifically to children. The App is intended for users who can understand and use a personal health-tracking application responsibly. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service associated with the App, please contact the developer through the contact information on the Google Play listing.
11. Data Security
We take privacy seriously. SafeCycle is designed so that the main tracking records remain on the user's device rather than being uploaded to a SafeCycle cloud server. However, no device or software system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use a secure device lock and keep exported files private.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
SafeCycle may open or interact with third-party services, including WhatsApp, Google Play, and advertising services. These services are operated by independent companies and have their own privacy policies and terms. SafeCycle is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to SafeCycle, its features, or applicable requirements. When changes are made, the updated Effective Date will be shown at the top of this page.
