Education advocacy groups across Colorado—including Colorado PTA—are throwing their support behind Proposition CC, the ballot measure that aims to improve public education and transportation funding in the state. Here's why:
Prop CC will allow Colorado to keep all funds already collected under the current tax rates. It will not raise taxes. Anything that is above the current revenue cap (set by TABOR) will be distributed straight into K-12 education, as well as higher ed and transportation infrastructure.
Colorado PTA believes that Proposition CC can improve these statistics by empowering the state to tackle immediate funding priorities. They are urging all education voters to learn more at publiceducationvoter.org and support Prop CC at the polls on November 5th!
