Welcome to   Carshup  ("we," "our," "us"). We operate the Carshup mobile application, which serves as a Vehicle Parts E-Commerce Marketplace connecting buyers, auto shops, independent sellers, and delivery partners.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services, in compliance with standard mobile publishing guidelines and Google Play developer requirements.

By downloading, installing, or using Carshup, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

## 1. Introduction

Carshup is an e-commerce platform that allows users to browse and buy car parts, and enables registered sellers/shops to list auto parts for sale and coordinate shipping through delivery partners.

## 2. Data We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide, maintain, and improve our vehicle parts marketplace services:

A. Personal Information You Provide

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, phone number, and selected region.

Seller & Partner Profiles: If you apply to be a Seller, Shop Owner, or Delivery Partner, we collect additional details such as shop name, business address, and verification information.

Transaction Details: We collect details of orders you place, products you list, and conversations you have through our platform to facilitate sales and deliveries.

### B. Media & Uploaded Content

Images:  Sellers and shop owners may upload photos of auto parts for sale. Users may upload profile avatars. These images are transmitted to our secure cloud storage (Supabase Storage) to be displayed within the app's catalog.

### C. Automated Device Information

Log Data & Identifiers:  We collect standard network information, IP addresses, unique device identifiers (e.g., FCM registration tokens for notifications), operating system versions, and basic performance diagnostics.

## 3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data for the following essential business purposes:

Core Marketplace Operations: To create your account, process orders, manage listings, and handle shipping and delivery processes.

Communications: To send you order updates, status notifications, security alerts, and administrative messages via push notifications or SMS/email.

Safety and Verification: To review and approve seller and driver applications, preventing fraudulent activities and ensuring safe marketplace exchanges.

App Performance:  To detect, debug, and resolve crashes or technical glitches, ensuring the application remains stable.

## 4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following circumstances:

 Between Marketplace Participants: We share necessary details (such as recipient name, delivery address, phone number, and order details) between buyers, sellers, and delivery drivers to ensure orders are completed successfully.

Service Providers: We share data with reliable third-party infrastructure platforms (such as database hosts, authentication systems, and cloud storage providers) that work on our behalf under strict data security standards.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

## 5. Account Deletion & Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as is necessary to provide our marketplace services or to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting audits).

How to Request Account & Data Deletion:

You have the right to delete your account and personal data at any time. You can do this in two ways:

1. In-App Deletion (Instant Request): Navigate to **Settings** > **Delete Account** within the app and confirm. Your profile fields (full name, phone, address, avatar, etc.) will be immediately blanked/anonymized in our database, and your account will be marked for deletion.

2. Email Request: Contact us directly at `carshubps@gmail.com` with your account registration email. We will process your deletion request within 7 business days.

## 6. Device Permissions

To enable specific features, Carshup requests access to certain hardware and system capabilities. You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings:

INTERNET  Required to connect to the backend server (Supabase) to fetch parts listings, process orders, and synchronize profiles. 

POST_NOTIFICATIONS  Used to send push notifications for order status changes, messaging alerts, and transaction updates. 

Photo Library / Storage   Allows sellers and profile owners to select and upload photos of auto parts or profile pictures from their device. 

## 7. Third-Party Services

Our app utilizes third-party software development kits (SDKs) and cloud integrations to provide a secure and functional experience. These providers operate under their own privacy policies:

## 8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers immediately.
