The aim of the Carroll Think Tank workshop series is to bring together international researchers interested in all aspects of Carrollian physics, including its applications to flat-space holography, condensed-matter physics, and beyond.
For the past three years, we have met annually in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, to take stock of progress in the field and discuss future developments. This workshop series, launched on the initiative of Konstantinos Sfetsos, Konstantinos Siampos, Anastasios Petkou and Marios, has been chiefly funded through a Hubert Curien Partnership between France and Greece on flat-space holography, conformal field theories, asymptotic symmetries, and related topics.
Participation is upon invitation only. If you are interested in attending our event, please contact us by e-mail at ksiampos@auth.gr.

The easiest way to get to Thessaloniki is by a direct fly to the city's airport called Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia (SKG) serving both international and domestic flights. Most major airline companies have direct flights to Thessaloniki or flights via Athens. The Thessaloniki airport is the second biggest airport in Greece and it is located 14km east of the city center.
By train
Thessaloniki's Railway Station is centrally located (28, Monastiriou Street ) and is conveniently connected with the rest of the city via public transportation. If you are coming to Thessaloniki via Athens, the Express or Intercity trains are suggested in order to travel faster.
By bus
In order to travel by bus to Thessaloniki or from Thessaloniki to any destination in Greece you may find all the necessary information by contacting the Macedonia Intercity Bus Station (KTEL) of Thessaloniki via this website. If you are coming to Thessaloniki via Athens, it is a 511km (approximately 6 hours) journey.
By ship
