Biography
Robert C. "Bob" Sales was born in Carroll County, Indiana, on September 25, 1923, the son of Charles Raymond and Maude Lucile (Heck) Sales.
After high school Bob went to work for Globe Valve in the shipping department. A desk in the shipping department was covered with paper, on which Bob frequently drew. Upon seeing his drawings, Bob's supervisor saw that he was transferred to the drafting department. By the time Bob retired in the 1980's he had worked his way up to the position of Assistant Plant Manager.
On May 25, 1946, Bob was married to Louise Weston. They were married for nearly 53 years at the time of his passing and had two children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed drawing and painting and at the time of his death in 2009 he left a vast collection of artwork. The paintings shown on this website represent a small fraction of his work.
