CCBA maintains an apiary map in and around Carroll County, MD. Participation is entirely voluntary. Registering your hives is required annually in the state of Maryland.
Get a head start on your annual registration! Even if you are a BRAND NEW beekeeper, please complete and submit your registration with the number of colonies you plan to get this year. The form (linked below) can be printed and mailed or filled out online and emailed to Cybil.Preston@maryland.gov
Registering your bees helps to protect your bees and your neighbor's bees in the case of an American Foulbrood (AFB) outbreak or other regulatory pest. Registering also helps account for the number of beekeepers and colonies in Maryland which justifies the cost of the state investing money into programming to benefit pollinators and beekeepers.
The CCBA facilitates Member-Produced NUC sales through a google form accessible below. Nucs are provided by CCBA members and sold at a price set at the beginning of the season. The quality of all nucs will follow the rules and standards established by the CCBA and listed in the order form.
