Carroll County Beekeepers

Welcome to the Carroll County Beekeepers Association!

CCBA is an association of beekeepers local to Carroll County, Maryland. The purpose of the CCBA is to educate the public about the importance of honey bees and pollination; to interest people in becoming beekeepers; to assist new beekeepers in getting their private apiaries started; to teach modern beekeeping techniques; to keep its members informed of new methods of successful beekeeping; and to promote the value and use of honey, beeswax, and other hive products.

To learn more about CCBA and beekeeping, you can join us for one of our monthly meetings! Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Bear Branch Nature Center 300 John Owings Road, Westminster MD, 21158

Purchasing Local Honey

Our members harvest some of the best tasting honey in the region (in our humble opinion). Please stop by our booths at local events or send us an email at CarrollBeekeepers@gmail.com to purchase local honey from our club members. CCBA Basic Beekeeping Course

Registration for the 2027 course will open in late December; the 2026 course has concluded. See our Bee Class Page for more information about the course and mentoring program.

2026 Member Dues

Members can visit the Members page to pay their club dues, purchase nucs, and join the Apiary Map.

Fundraising

You can show your support for the CCBA with a CCBA sticker! There are two designs (Dandelions or CCBA logo), as shown above, of the 4" vinyl decals. They can be purchased for $3 each online through the CCBA Paypal, linked here.
