Cleaning Process

Simply put, the carpet cleaning process comprises of four major components. I refer to them as FOUR-PHASE cleaning. Because dry debris accumulation occurs deep below the surface, through vacuuming is critical for both a healthy living environment and carpeting longevity via wear and tear. If allowed to remain, debris are likely to become mud and cause funky odor. The inexpensive 'speed-cleaner' who neglects the vacuuming process is far less likely to perform a thorough service.

Next is the application of a fiber-specific cleaning solution. The quality of product used greatly impacts the soil suspension process. Cheaper cleaner are also known to contain concentrations of sticky soap residue. Carpeting that quickly re-soils after cleaning is likely due to to 'bargain-basement' practices.

Thirdly, agitating carpet fibers, whether manually or mechanically will greatly accelerate and improve the soil suspension process. Beware that not all companies provide agitation.

Finally, carpeting is rinsed via truck mounted steam cleaning, also known as Hot Water Extraction. Hot Water Extraction is the number one cleaning method recommended by carpet and furniture manufacturers world wide.
