It is of paramount importance to us, you and your child that your child settles in well. We actively encourage parents to build a positive relationship with your child’s Key Person, as they will be directly responsible for his/her day to day management, including monitoring and maintaining records of care needs, learning and development and is the primary person who will observes your child.
Parents are able to visit the nursery by appointment before their child begins at the nursery and our staff are readily available to speak with parents on a regular basis. Parents are given an opportunity to share information about their child so that our staff are familiar with your child and support the valuable ‘getting to know me’ process. We will also speak with you about your child’s learning and development as this will help to support us in understanding your child’s unique needs. We will do this by completing a baseline assessment.
We believe that outstanding care and learning can only take place if strong parental partnerships are developed. Our colleagues will always consider parents wishes on all matters, from weaning to toilet training and everything else in-between.
