I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with high honors from Trinity University in San Antonio. Afterward, I spent several years as an educator in secondary schools and with adults. After devoting time to raising my family, I returned to graduate school, earning a Master of Science in Social Work in 1998. I worked in a school-based agency, then received my license to practice independently in 2001. I am further licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners as a supervisor, and have participated in a collaborative consultation group for more than 10 years. My clients and colleagues teach me continuously, illustrating the generative process of psychotherapy.
