About Carolyn Yose

In 2014, Carolyn Yose earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. She began college with aspirations of becoming an accountant. She quickly recognized that, although she was exceptional at math, her passion for children was far greater. Having many influential teachers in her past, she was determined to be of great influence to as many children as possible.

For the past seven years, Yose has taught second graders, the last three years at Castleman Creek Elementary (CCE) in Midway ISD. She is currently teaching her students virtually due to COVID-19. Her experience with technology has allowed her to overcome the challenges of this nontraditional way of teaching. She shows her dedication to teaching and learning as a grade level leader, a Baylor University PDS mentor, and a mentor to two first-year teachers on her team. Yose is an extraordinary leader in and out of the classroom.

Yose is very involved in her community. She was a mentor in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program for 5 years. She served on the Parent Teacher Organization at Bosqueville Elementary as well as CCE’s Parent Teacher Association. She has been a part of many other committees such as CCE’s Sunshine Committee, Midway ISD’s Spirit of Communications Council, Apple’s Texas Schoolwork Cohort, Midway ISD’s Parent Advisory Committee, CCE’s Apple Distinguished School Renewal Committee, and Midway’s District Technology Committee. Through these experiences, she has gained confidence in leadership and technology skills, thereby expanding her scope of influence.
