3 Minute Thesis Competition
Iowa State University People's Choice Award Winner 2019
The 3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) competition is an annual event held at over 200 universities worldwide where graduate students from across campus take on the crazy task of explaining the gist of their thesis in only 3 minutes with the help of only one static slide. The competition originates from the University of Queensland in 2008 but has been held at Iowa State University since 2017. Each year, around 80 graduate students compete. In 2019, I won my preliminary heat and went on the compete as one of 8 finalists. In the finals, I won the audience voted People's Choice award.
