About me

I am an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I hold a BSc (Honours) in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe, and a BCom (Honours), MCom and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pretoria. My research focusses on development issues related to inequality, conflict and quality of institutions (i.e. gender, ethnic, democratic and historical) within Africa.
