A total of 39 units included 30 units of coursework from the Department of Secondary Education with an emphasis on educational and motivational strategies using modern technology for instruction and collaboration. Extra classes with an emphasis on 3D game animation and design in the Department of Art included 9 units of coursework. These courses taught me how to design digital videogames and 3D models using and utilizing software programs like Maya, Unity, and Adobe programs.
My thesis research project investigated the educational features of modern VR technology and whether it can create a more meaningful learning situation and add value to students' learning experiences and increase their autonomy and intrinsic motivation, compared to traditional education. Results indicated significant improvement in motivation, enjoyment, and understanding of the learning content among the students.
