The Graduate School is pleased to offer competitive grants for doctoral students from any discipline to conduct research related to their dissertations. Funds may be requested for supplies, software, data collection or analysis activities, and other operatung costs associated with conducting the research.

The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) annually offers Service-Learning Support Grants (sometimes called "mini-grants') intended to directly support activities related to developing, implementing or expanding academic service-learning opportunities for UGA students. Applicants may request up to $500 for local, state-wide or international service-learning support. Preference is given to projects that directly impact the expansion and support of academic service-learning opportunities for UGA students addressing critical community needs.

Drawn from the Student Green Fee, grants up to $5,000 are available to current UGA students who wish to initiate projects that advance sustainability through education, research, service, and campus operations. Successful projects will address UGA's strategic priorities and integrate social, environmental, and economic solutions to help ensure that all people can thrive, both now and in the future. Grants are awarded based on merit, positive impact, effective partnerships, implementation feasibility, and available funding.
