The club is blessed with 41 rolling acres embracing nine well maintained greens that are served from 18 tee boxes. The course hosts a meandering stream that divides its fairways and connects two ponds at the property‘s extremes. The ponds are regular gathering places for dozens of Canada Geese and occasional Wood Ducks.
Our clubhouse features an essential office, a catering kitchen, dining room for 70 and overflow room for 20, plus a comfortable bar.
The club was developed by John Taylor as part of his Botany Woods subdivision. The nine-hole Par 3 course was designed and constructed by noted golf architect George W Cobb. Its members were drawn principally from among Botany Woods residents. Taylor sold the club to its members and it was incorporated in November 1965 as Botany Woods Country Club. The name was changed in 1971 to Carolina Golf and Tennis Club, and later to Carolina Golf at Botany Woods.
