The following are the categories of my music classes:


Beginner


1. Introduction and familiarization of thalams and ragams

2. Improving the melody and pitch with control on beats

3. More on Shruthi and gaining detailed knowledge on practical aspects involved in Carnatic music.

4. Stages in Abhyasaganam - Swaravali, Jantai Varisai, Dhatu Varisai, Melsthayi Varisai

5. Tala Stages in Abhyasaganam - Alankaram, Gitam & Swarajathis.

6. The student is expected to practice everyday for at least 15 mins at home


Intermediate


1. Increasing the repertoire of Varnams

6. Kalpana Swaram singing - advanced concepts - Kuraippu / Reduction for different types of thalams; Korvai or mathematical constructs
