Carly Moon Carman is a Lancaster (PA) based actor and multi-passionate artist. As a child, her parents enrolled her into a local theater program to make friends. Since then, she has performed for over 20 years in 30+ different productions spanning multiple states and disciplines. As a woman on the autism spectrum, she finds comfort in perfecting her performances to hit every mark, line, note, and step.
Carly specializes in acting, blending different techniques and forms to suit each project. At university, she studied various acting, voice, and movement methods including the teachings of Stanislavsky, Laban, Bogart, Alexander, Hagen, and Meisner. Cast in roles of complex characters, sometimes with a taste for villainy, she focuses on truth, vulnerability, and risk-taking on the stage or in front of a camera.
Carly aims to continue to educate herself in many areas, and further refine her acting, singing, and dancing skills. She also hopes to make space for her first love: writing. On the occasions she does write, she enjoys exploring identity, isolation, as well as the nuances, depths, and contradictions of human emotions and experiences.
