I took the Eating test. Results said I associate low-fat foods as more acceptable. That is very hard for me to believe because I make it a point to never get low fat anything. Maybe I am secretly ashamed of myself.
I read “I don’t think I am Biased” and “White Teachers at Crossroads” because I thought I would relate to both of them well. Both were quite interesting and enlightening, although pretty old, they are still relevant. In the latter article, Howard stated that “Ultimately, good teaching is not a function of the color of our skin. It is much more closely related to the temperament of our mind and the hue of our heart. We did not choose whether to be White, but we can affect how we are White. This is both our challenge and our hope.” This is also my hope.
