This was a 2009 video short of my “A Window Unto Three Realms” installation, exhibited at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI during the inaugural ArtPrize competition. Grand Rapids Press writer, John Gonzalez, was the interviewer and filmmaker.
“The Candy Store” was a 2004 film document of Sue Carman-Vian’s performance group, “Catharctic Circle.” This creative film short was produced and directed by Sue Carman-Vian. The director of photography was Jeffrey Bloomer, and the two principal actors were Melanie Manos, the patroness, and Carl Demeulenaere, the Rococo proprietress.
“Sanctuary” was a 1993 installation I exhibited at the Detroit Institute of Arts. This video short was filmed by Alex Mills, and produced, directed, and narrated by me. The viewer was Karla Loring.
“Little White House” was a 1993 installation I exhibited at the inaugural opening of Revolution—A Gallery Project in Ferndale, MI. This video short was filmed by Alex Mills, and produced, directed, and narrated by me. I was also the viewer.
“Beautiful Truth” was a 1992 film animation, produced and directed by Jeffrey Bloomer, featuring the two principal actors Sue Carman-Vian and Carl Demeulenaere. In this tale of murder, the harrowing of Hell was interwoven with a redemptive vision of Heaven.
