A “Kouros” was a representation of the ideal man in ancient Greek art. In this tradition, two lovers are portrayed here, wrapped in the same red cloth that symbolizes their close bond. This painting was shown in the 1993 installation, “Little White House,” and is in the collection of The Detroit Institute of Arts.
