Kit for a Caledonian Cake Decorator

Another black construction from the period, and a fun tribute to the Caledonian Canal and the Loch Ness monster, this was a whimsical homage to the many cakes I decorated in the 1980s. I simulated a frosting syringe with decorating tips made from paper. The lid of this hinged box was embellished with tiny plaster monster heads, the antlers were movable, the inside of the kit included an instruction booklet, and the bottom triangle contained a scenic tableau of spectators at the lake, which could be viewed with the aid of a flashlight. It’s obvious that this was one of my more playful works at the time.
