I'm a researcher and data scientist solving industry-scale business problems using optimization theory and artificial intelligence. In my current position as data scientist for an AI consulting firm, I help companies along their AI journey by developing tailored industry-scale optimization algorithms that leverage the mathematical structure of the underlying use case.
My background is in applied mathematics and industrial engineering with experience in data science, data mining , banking regulation, and credit risk analysis. I'm also experienced as a collaborative volunteer having co-founded the Montreal Operations Research Student Chapter and the Montreal section of The Operations Research Challenge, both internationally acclaimed for their contribution to the operations research community.
Previously I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Canada Excellence Research Chair for Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making which I joined after completing my PhD in industrial engineering at Concordia University. Previous to my PhD I was a senior consultant at a banking consulting firm.
Student group chartered under the Canadian Operations Research Society and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Its mission is to create a collaborative, multi-university, interdisciplinary platform for knowledge sharing of Operations Research (O.R.) through social and academic events and a strong online presence.
Student committee that organizes an annual competition for high school students in Montreal. The purpose of the competition is to introduce students to Operations Research via fun and real-world problems and an interactive presentation given by a distinguished speaker who applies O.R. concepts in industry.
The Concordia MIAE Graduate Student Committee (MIAEGSC) strives for maximum visibility by international industry and research communities, our way for prosperous post-graduation careers. It is an entity formed of graduate-student only. It encompasses all of the research-based graduate students in MIAE Concordia. Our vision is to improve the graduate research experience; ensure a successful transition into a future career, whether it is research-based, a faculty position, or an engineering position in the industry; and fortify the name and reputation of the MIAE graduate department.
