Carlos Moreno Pérez

Currently, I work as Junior Economist at the Bank of Spain in the DG Economics, Statistics and Research. Previously, I worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Pablo de Olavide University (Spain) and Research Assistant at the Bank of Spain in the DG Economics, Statistics and Research. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Verona in May 2021. The first year of Ph.D. consisted of Ph.D. courses that were taught jointly with the University of Padova (Italy). The following years, I elaborated my Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Professor Marco Minozzo.   

My research interests include Text Mining, Machine Learning, Macroeconometrics, Microeconometrics, Balance of Payments,  Monetary and Fiscal Policy, Trade, Finance, Public Economics, Urban Economics, Energy Economics and Labour Economics.

Before joining the Ph.D., I completed the Advanced Studies Program in International Economic Policy Research at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Moreover, I hold a M.Sc. in International Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Seville.
